Magnesia Carbon Brick’s raw materials is Fused Magnesia and natural flake graphite, used phenol formaldehyde resin as binder, through high pressure shaping and heat treating. In order to improve the product’s anti-oxygen & high temperature strength, added antioxidant of metal & carbonide. While MGC brick is used in high temperature, carbon frame combined, because MgO & C are not consolute, it kept the original good refractory performance. Carbon has good heat conductivity & low coefficient of thermal expansion. Big wettability angle between slags, which can prevent slag permeate effectively, it’s not easy to occur thermal and structural spalling. It’s changed the fatal weakness of structural spalling caused by slag permeability of magnesium refractory. The series of MGC brick feature makes it become ideal furnace lining material with erosion-resistance anti-spalling & thermal shock resistance, which is applied in converter, electric furnace & ladle refining lining & other metallurgical industrial furnace.
